When a movie maker wanted a particular car stunt, they had to pay a person to get in a car and actually do it.
How many times did Hickman and McQueen pass that thing? Ditto, always liked that chase, the whole movie was pretty good actually. Then jickman and small 4V.

Tires, brake systems, front end components were basically stock — while springs were beefed up, skid plates added and the V8 motors were tweaked for horsepower.
